The Ellora Ajanta Aurangabad Festival is one of the most colorful festivals in the city of Aurangabad. Aurangabad Festival Committee under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner Aurangabad organizes the most celebrated festival in the city. It is usually held in December and it is one of the biggest crowd pullers. The artistic caves of Ellora used to be the venue earlier but recently the splendid Soneri Mahal built in 17th century has become the stage for the cultural extravaganza.
